Description
- Abstract:
- Clipping with a photograph of a statue of Abraham Lincoln. The statue, sculpted by Andrew O'Connor II, was originally planned for the Rhode Island State House grounds. However, the Lincoln Memorial Commission failed to raise enough money to pay O'Connor and The Gorham Company, which cast the statue. The Gorham Company eventually sold the statue to Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
