Head of Lincoln

Description

Abstract:
Halftone print (after photograph) of Gutzon Borglum's Lincoln head sculpted in marble. Text beneath the caption indicates that the sculpture was completed on December 1 "and is here photographed for the first time." On the reverse side of the page is the beginning of an article entitled "Lincoln's Boyhood, reminiscences of his cousin and play-mate, Dennis Hanks," by Eleanor Atkinson, which was published in 1908. This clipping was taken from an unidentified periodical.
