Abstract:
Cynthia Rose Pan, a student at Alvarez High School, discusses her experiences as a student at the school, and, especially, her reflections on learning about Gorham, Mashapaug Pond, and the environmental challenges of the area through environmental studies classes taught by Mr. Dave Evans. Pan lives near the school and reflects broadly on the role of the school in the community and perceptions about Alvarez.
