Kimberly Dan, class of 2006

Description

Abstract:
In this interview, Kimberly Dan, Brown University class of 2006, describes her path since leaving Brown as well as her experience with the COVID-19 global pandemic in the Philippines. Dan begins by explaining that she chose to attend Brown because her father insisted that if she wanted to study abroad she had to go to an Ivy League school. She also mentions having to complete a couple of courses in the Philippines and enjoying her time at Brown. In talking about the pandemic, Dan recalls learning about it when her son’s pediatrician contracted the virus. She remembers trying to research different medicines that were thought to help improve symptoms. Additionally, Dan talks about her community being under curfew as well as the successful grocery delivery system. She closes by saying every day in the pandemic has its ups and downs but she tried to be grateful for what she has and focuses on her priorities.
