- As cartas de Fernando Pessoa a Ofélia ao invés de entregarem uma presumível confissão afetiva do poeta - como quiseram ver alguns de seus críticos - produzem ironicamente nessa correspondência amorosa um retorno ao problema da confissão, tão caro ao universo pessoano. E é na irônica instabilidade da relação entre identidade e escrita, na qual exerce um papel determinante a presença do heterônimo Álvaro de Campos, que este ensaio se concentra, a fim de compreender o caráter paradoxal desse discurso amoroso.
- The Fernando Pessoa's letters to Ofélia instead of giving a presumable affective confession of the poet--as some of his critics have read them--ironically establish in this love correspondence the discussion about the issue of confession itself. This essay focuses on such ironic instability of the identity and writing relationship, in order to comprehend the paradox feature of this lover's discourse.
