Abstract:: Nesta série de cinco poemas, publicados pela primeira vez aqui, procuro imaginar como Florbela Espanca teria interpelado poeticamente Fernando Pessoa, se acaso ela lhe tivesse escrito do além-túmulo. O meu ponto de partida é a especulação – deveras tentadora – de que os caminhos de Fernando Pessoa e Florbela Espanca se possam ter cruzado mais de uma vez. Na vida real, houve vários anos em que os dois viveram em Lisboa, e existe evidência documental para demonstrar que frequentaram os mesmos locais e que tinham vários conhecidos em comum. Até a forma como conduziram as suas vidas amorosas, tal como ficou registado nas correspondências entre Pessoa e Ophelia Queiroz, e Florbela e Antonio Guimarães, respectivamente, sugere algumas semelhanças deveras inesperadas.; In this series of five poems, published here for the first time, I seek to imagine how Florbela Espanca might have poetically interpolated Fernando Pessoa, had she ever written to him from beyond the grave. My starting-point is the speculation–tantalising indeed–that Fernando Pessoa and Florbela Espanca's paths could have crossed more than once. In real life, there was an overlap of several years during which both of them resided in Lisbon, and there is documental evidence to demonstrate that they frequented similar locations and had several acquaintances in common. Last but not least, even the way in which they conducted their amorous lives, as registered in the love letters between Pessoa and Ophelia Queiroz and Florbela and Antonio Guimarães respectively, suggests some uncanny resemblances.
