"Relicts" and Good Legible Labels

Description

Abstract:
Museums and universities should work together to increase historical knowledge and disseminate it among a wider public. Both have much to gain, for their capabilities and audiences are complementary. One area of collaboration might be joint research projects to understand artifacts. An artifact reflects the culture which made and used it, but it rarely speaks for itself. OAH Newsletter 1991. This work was written by a US Federal Employee and as such is in the Public Domain.
