- Abstract:
- Four male figures kneel on rug in landscape setting. Two wait as one supplicates towards a much older man. Very elaborate blue and gold border.
- Notes:
- Physical Description: Leaf may represent a collage; the painting and border may not have been made for one another. No text is associated with the image except for a brief Persian inscription on recto. Evidence of repair, remounting. Very fine excision lines around perimeter of image and border. Very ornate border: gold, mineral blue, orange arabesque. Pencil mark on recto. Many worm holes are also present throughout the empty paper space, though none have damaged the painting itself.
