The Internationalization of Portuguese Historiography: Basic Data and Educated Guesses

Abstract:
The author reflects on the internationalization of Portuguese historiography, by presenting graphs with data from three kinds of international reference databases: National Citation Report for Portugal provided by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI); a series of general coverage databases and discipline-specific compilations of international standing; and the Inventory of Portuguese Journals (IPJ).
O autor reflecte sobre a internacionalização da historiografia portuguesa, apresentando gráficos com dados provenientes de três tipos de bases internacionais de referência: «National Citation Report for Portugal», gerido pelo «Institute for Scientific Information» (ISI); uma série de bases de dados de cobertura geral e de compilações de disciplinas específicas de reputação internacional; e o «Inventory of Portuguese Journals» (IPJ).
