- Abstract:
- The first video is a condensed version of an interview conducted by Gail Harris in 1988 of a panel of leaders in the computer science industry, including Thomas Watson, John Sculley III, and Frederick A. Wang. They discuss the changes in information technology and its impact on society and economy. A panel of Brown University faculty ask questions and comment during the second half of the program. The faculty members were: William O. Beeman, Andy Van Dam, Brian L. Hawkins, Joan L. Richards, Henry Kučera, Kathryn T. Spoehr, and Donald E. McClure. The second video is the presentation during the Second Annual Alan Shawn Feinstein World Hunger Awards presented at Brown University in 1986. The program was researcherd by Bob Kates and Lucile Newman and narrated by Lucile Newman. The third video is a compilation of television reporting by Irving R. Levine throughout his journalism career.
