Entrée du Louvre, côté du nord (1810).

Description

Abstract:
The entrance to the Louvre as seen from the north side of the monument in 1810. Before the construction of Versailles and the Louvre's transformation into the famous museum that it is today, the monument was once home to French royalty. In 1793, following the Revolution, it was slowly transformed into an art museum whose collection would grow over the next century.
