Abstract:
View of the construction site of the 1889 World Fair. The fountains of the Trocadéro appear in the foreground, while the Eiffel Tower stands in the background, flanked by the Palais des beaux-arts (left) and the Palais des arts libéraux (right). Both were designed by Formigé. The building standing behind is the Palais des expositions diverses. It was adjacent to the two other Palais, and stood perpendicular to them. It had been designed by the architects Dutert and Bouvard.
