Abstract:
Juvenilia is a typed compilation by Lovecraft of his works from 1897 to 1908 on the verso of correspondence he received. The titles, arranged chronologically, include "The Little Glass Bottle", "The Poem of Ulysses, or the Odyssey", the last page of which includes a list of his works published by "The Providence Press"; "The Secret Cave", "The Mystery of the Grave-Yard", "H. Lovecraft's Attempted Journey Betwixt Providence & Fall River on the N.Y. N.H. & H. RR", "The Mysterious Ship", "Poemata Minora", which includes the poems "Ode to Selene", "To the Old Pagan Religion", "On the Ruin of Rome", "To Pan", and "On the Vanity of Human Ambition". The last two pages of Juvenilia contain a list of Lovecraft's works up to 1908, not all of which are included in this compilation. The categories are: "Poetical Works of H. Lovecraft", including "Works for Children" and "Other Verses"; "Works of H. Lovecraft in Prose", "Chemical Works of H. Lovecraft", "Fiction by H. Lovecraft", and "Historical Works by H. Lovecraft". A price is listed next to each title. The letters he used as writing paper where all written to Lovecraft.
