Description
- Abstract:
- With envelope postmarked Jan. 12, 1927 Enclosed is a blank application for membership in the United Amateur Press Association signed by HPL. "Your wish to copy [Sarnath] & High House flatters me very highly! Take your time about it, for there is no demand for these MSS. elsewhere. ... I'm glad you've sent for The Hermaphrodite, which is the most purely classical poem written in this generation. Loveman is an authentic genius ... My novel, though it may represent industry & application, isn't likely to represent much more. Pressure of other things has delayed work on it lately, but I shall probably have it done - & running to 100-odd pages - in a month or so. The older I get, the longer my tales tend to run - so that today I hardly could write a brief bit like [Polaris] and [Nyarlathotep] ... Your projected bibliography [of weird literature] exceeds in scope anything of the kind which I had planned"
