- With some manuscript additions Dated "Tiw's-Daeg 7th of Xanthicus, Anno 2242 of the Syrian Realm" only. [The Macedonian month of Xanthicus corresponds to the Roman month of Aprilis. Apr. 7, 1931 was a Tuesday.] HPL again mentions Ptolemy Philadelphus and goes on to discuss the Syro-Macedonian era. Incorrectly dated by Arkham House as Feb. 17, 1931.
