- With minor manuscript corrections. Dated in the text: "December 3, 1919." This typescript may have been prepared by Donald Wandrei in early 1927 (HPL to Wandrei, 1927 Jan 11: "Your wish to copy 'Sarnath' & 'High House' flatters me highly! Take your time about it ..."; and Wandrei to HPL, 1927 Feb 7: "I returned your manuscripts last week ... The delay in returning them was due, as I said, to the fact that I made copies of The Strange High House in the Mist, and the Doom That Came to Sarnath.. It closely corresponds to the version published in Marvel Tales, 1, No. 4 (Mar-Apr 1935).
