Description
- Abstract:
- On July 1st 2025 the NIH’s new Public Access Policy went into effect, impacting journal article manuscripts resulting from active NIH awards accepted for publication after that date. On Sept. 25, 2025 the Library held an online instructional workshop that will cover how these changes are reflected when adding citations for journal articles to My Bibliography and submitting final-peer reviewed manuscripts to PubMed Central, including the removal of publisher-imposed embargoes in the NIH Manuscript Submission System (NIHMS). Additionally, the workshop will highlight the changes in the policies of major scientific journal publishers responding to the NIH policy, impacting the current and future choices that NIH-funded authors have to be compliant as well as keeping in mind when budgeting for costs to include in their grants related to publications.
