- No editorial do número especial de Pessoa Plural sobre “Pessoa e Cinema” (2024), Marcelo Mello interroga “qual Pessoa foi criada por cada realizador” e de que modo a imagem icónica do poeta assombra certas representações fílmicas. Esta ideia articula-se com a leitura de Fernando Cabral Martins (2007), para quem o próprio ortónimo constitui uma ficção, marcada por uma multiplicidade funcional. Partindo deste enquadramento, propõe-se a análise de quatro filmes — Conversa Acabada (João Botelho, 1981), Conserva Acabada (João César Monteiro, 1989), Daisy: Um Filme para Fernando Pessoa (Margarida Gil, 1991) e Onde Está o Pessoa? (Leonor Areal, 2023) — em que Pessoa surge como figura cinematográfica múltipla. A leitura incidirá sobre a construção dessa figura, tanto ao nível das estratégias autorais como da sua materialização visual. Argumenta-se, por fim, que a busca identitária central na obra pessoana persiste e se reconfigura nestas representações fílmicas.
- In the editorial of the special issue of Pessoa Plural on “Pessoa and Cinema” (2024), Marcelo Mello asks “which Pessoa was created by each filmmaker” and how the poet’s iconic image haunts certain filmic representations. This idea resonates with Fernando Cabral Martins’s (2007) reading, according to which the orthonym itself constitutes a fiction, marked by a functional multiplicity. Within that framework, this article proposes an analysis of four films —Conversa Acabada (João Botelho, 1981), Conserva Acabada (João César Monteiro, 1989), Daisy: Um Filme para Fernando Pessoa (Margarida Gil, 1991), and Onde Está o Pessoa? (Leonor Areal, 2023)—in which Pessoa emerges as a multiple cinematic figure. The analysis focuses on the construction of this figure, both in terms of authorial strategies and of its visual materialization. It ultimately argues that the search for identity central to Pessoa’s work persists and is reconfigured in these filmic representations.
