Terracotta oil lamp (Object ID: D37)

Description

Abstract:
Large terracotta lamp made of thick, heavy cream colored clay. Nozzle is missing. Teardrop shaped with triangular (or conical) handle. Curvy design on top and ridges from filling hole to wick hole. Wide track from rim to spout which appears used due to visible charring residue. Circular vine motif around upper half which appears not to follow the shape of the lamp itself in favor of a circular pattern.
