Description
- Abstract:
- This article, based on a qualitative methodology of bibliographic character, aims to analyze the relationship between the singer and composer Caetano Veloso (1942-) and Tropicalism, since, in the work ‘Tropical Truth’ (2017), the artist seeks to understand how he went through Tropicália, or how this movement went through him, highlighting the reasons why they were temporarily useful and possibly necessary to each other. In this perspective, we highlight points that we consider essential to the discussion about the new aesthetic trend of the late 60s, which provides the tropical personality with a projection in the national and international artistic scene.
