Where do we draw the boundaries of digital poetry?

Abstract:
Experiments with language, mixed arts and electronic media have renewed both the production and reception of poetry, due to the world wide web. This essay describes present digital poetry of Brazilian authors, from the first who tried its possibilities, such as Ferreira Gullar, Augusto de Campos, Arnaldo Antunes, to the latest ones. ln the area of production, it emphasizes the Concretism movement heritage and the new poiesis derived from it. As for the reception, it discusses the proliferation of readers' web communities and the future of books and screen language arts.
Experiências com linguagem, artes mistas e mídia eletrônica renovaram tanto a produção quanto a recepção da poesia, devido à rede mundial de computadores. Este ensaio descreve a atual poesia digital de autores brasileiros, desde os primeiros que experimentaram suas possibilidades, como Ferreira Gullar, Augusto de Campos e Arnaldo Antunes, até os mais recentes. Na área de produção, enfatiza a herança do movimento do Concretismo e a nova poiesis derivada dele. Quanto à recepção, discute a proliferação das comunidades virtuais dos leitores e o futuro dos livros e das artes na tela.
