"Fala Aurora!" Jornal da Associação Feminina da Zona Norte (AFZN)

Description

Abstract:
This is the first edition of the newsletter produced by the Associação Feminina da Zona Norte (AFZN), a group of women from São Paulo's northern periphery fighting for public childcare and basic urban infrastructure. Although the group had existed since the late 1970s, the movement began adopting a more explicitly feminist for its organizing in the late 1980s. The newsletter reported on happenings in the broader women's movement across Brazil in addition to local events in Vila Aurora where the group's headquarters was located.
