- The chapel of the Salpêtrière Hospital, viewed from the adjoining courtyard. The chapel was commissioned in 1669 by Louis XIV. Designed by the architect Libéral Bruant, the chapel has four naves, to keep the four types of patients separated in each one of the naves during mass (women, men, boys and girls).
