Le Bâtiment de la Porte: (fin du XVIIIe siècle)

Description

Abstract:
The Bâtiment de la Porte served as an entrance to the Salpêtrière Hospital. Guards are visible near the doorway, which is closed by an iron gate. This building was part of the development commissioned by Turgot at the end of the 18th century to provide housing for mentally ill women.
