La Salle Erasme et la Pavillon de la grille

Description

Abstract:
On top is a view of the Erasmus building at the Salpêtrière Hospital dating back to the 18th century. It housed a horse-driven gear to bring water up from a nearby swamp for use within the hospital. The second engraving, at the bottom, represents the gatekeeper house.
