- An engraving representing the points that are sensitive during a hysteria attack striking patient H. H. is a young man subject to sexual hysteria. The points shown on the body diagram are more or less always sensitive (with sensations ranking from acute pain to pleasurable burning), and, when properly stimulated, can bring on a hysteria bout. Charcot links these points to a sexual mania affecting young men in particular.
