Description
- Abstract:
- This text analyzes the way in which, in 19th-century anthoogies, Brazil and its symbols appear in scenes that do not vary much, with agouti, armadillos, oranges, and rosewoods repeatedly appearing, portrayed as growing in dense green forests, warmed by the golden light of the sun and framed by a blue sky. In this sense, poetry anthologies, with national authors and themes, played an extremely important role in promoting a meeting of documents that anticipated the history of literature yet to come.
