- Evoking her education as a reader and her own literary trajectory, Ana Maria Machado, who writes for children as well as for adults, gives an account of the hurdles and prejudices faced by Brazilian women writers. Special attention is paid to the dominant male perspective in both the press and literary criticism regarding the treatment of women writers.
- Evocando sua educação como leitora e sua própria trajetória literária, Ana Maria Machado, que escreve tanto para crianças quanto para adultos, relata os obstáculos e preconceitos enfrentados por escritoras brasileiras. Especial atenção é dada à perspectiva masculina dominante tanto na imprensa quanto na crítica literária em relação ao tratamento das escritoras mulheres.
