- The woman depicted on the left side of the plate is wearing a white flounced dress with a very wide crinoline, a corseted waist and a deep decolletage, reminiscent of the court costume of Napoleon II. She is depicted prinking or dressing and grooming herself with great attention, energy and vanity. The woman attending her wears dark purple dress with a crinoline.
