Small talk in the van: headpiece

Description

Abstract:
A writer (presumably meant to represent Uzanne himself) pauses at his work to ponder what he will write next. While he considers, phantasmic women - nude except for their accessories - float through his window and into his thoughts, carried by the wind and two or three small cherubs.
Notes:
Three-color wood engraving, printed in France on handmade paper.
