Cour Louis XVI sous la Commune

Description

Abstract:
"Communards" transport weapons and other supplies in and out of the great hall of the Hôtel de Ville originally dedicated to Louis XVI. In 1870, when the Paris Commune was just coming into power, such sights involving the seizure of royal, baroque buildings by lower-class workers, were not uncommon.
