Abstract:
A project to connect the Louvre and its neighboring Palais des Tuileries had been envisioned for many years. This engraving is modeled after a photograph by Millet and illustrates the project's status as of 1852. The Tuileries Palace was eventually destroyed in 1871 during the Paris Commune
