- Abstract:
- Construction site of the Galerie des machines in the Palais du Champ-de-Mars, before the 1867 World Fair. The Palais had a circular structure, with several galleries and a garden. It contained an important part of the Fair. It was built by Frédéric Le Play and Jean-Baptiste Krantz, and housed the countries' exhibits (France occupied about 40 percent of its total surface).
