- Clarice Lispector's ‘Um sopro de vida,’ published posthumously in 1979, inscribes the crisis of legitimation that characterizes modernity, a crisis associated to the breakdown of narrative structures, according to the French scholar Jean-François Lyotard. Doing away with plot and character, Lispector's text articulates a discoursive game in the process of which the binary structure on which it is built is deconstructed, leading to the blurring of distinctions between male author/female product, active subject/passive object. The game that underscores the dissolution of the paternal metaphor of literary creativity ends up by placing the feminine in the origin and center of a discourse that, ultimately, abolishes the structural, experiential and conceptual division between literature and life.
- 'Um sopro de vida', obra escrita por Clarice Lispector e publicada postumamente em 1979, introduz a crise da legitimação que caracteriza a modernidade, uma crise associada à decomposição de estruturas narrativas, segundo o acadêmico francês Jean-François Lyotard. Ao livrar-se do enredo e das personagens, o texto de Lispector articula um jogo discursivo num processo que desmonta a própria estrutura binária que o sustenta. Por sua vez, isto faz com que se borrem as distinções entre autor-masculino/produto-feminino, sujeito-ativo/objeto-passivo. O jogo que ressalta a dissolução da metáfora paternal da criatividade literária acaba por colocar o feminino na origem e no centro de um discurso que, no fim das contas, suprime a divisão estrutural, experiencial e conceitual entre literatura e vida.
