Description
- Abstract:
- The allegory of Brazil as an absurd is chosen as the leading thread to reconstruct the trajectory of the critical reflections on the Tropicalist movement. Pursuing the main theoretical bases that establish the peculiar visions of Brazil represented in the tropicalist allegory, the aim of the essay is to show how the different versions are sustained by distinct theoretical apparatuses responsible for suspecting (Schwarz , Vasconcellos) and for praising (Favaretto) the allegorical image of Brazil as an absurd.
