- Modernism was, without a doubt, the longest and strongest movement of Brazilian Literature. Despite this, we will not find unanimity if we claim it is over and use the polemical term "Postmodernism." Whether defenders of Modernism like it or not, there is no longer any sense in speaking of Modernism in Brazil without proposing the reexamination of values, the questioning of dogmas, and, above all, the healthy attitude of learning to live with plurality.
- O Modernismo foi, seguramente, o mais forte e longo movimento da Literatura Brasileira. Não encontraremos unanimidade, porém, se o dermos por concluído, substituído por este causador de polêmicas, o já inegável Pós-Modernismo. Quer agrade ou não aos combativos defensores do Modernismo, não há mais sentido em se falar do Modernismo no Brasil sem uma proposta de revisão de valores, de questionamento de dogmas e, sobretudo, sem assumirmos uma saudável atitude de convivência com a pluralidade.
