- Abstract:
- To name a kind of literature as homosexual, gay and/or homoerotic would implicate essentialization and a certain systemic character. So it may be productive to consider the idea of “literary configurations of homoerotism”, defended by José Carlos Barcellos and José Luiz Foureaux de Souza Júnior, and that of “homoerotic approach”, by the last professor. Such notions allow us to propose, based on the expression “homoerotic configurations in literature”, that “queer configurations” in the Brazilian literature and biographical space do not cease to indicate practices of violence and promotion of unintelligibility of LGBTQIA subjects. In this way, such configurations, which affect other discourses, require a critical transit, from a homoerotic approach to queer (re)configurations, equivalent to the “cucaracha turn” that, similar to the “decolonial turn”, operates idiosyncratic translation of queer/cuir in Latin American studies/activisms, as presented by Berenice Bento.
- Ao negar a essencialização e certo caráter sistêmico que estariam implicados na adjetivação da literatura homossexual, gay e/ou homoerótica, penso ser talvez produtivo considerar a ideia de “configurações literárias do homoerotismo”, defendida por José Carlos Barcellos e por José Luiz Foureaux de Souza Júnior, e a de “olhar homoerótico”, sugerida pelo último estudioso. Tais noções permitem propor, a partir da expressão “configurações homoeróticas na literatura”, que “configurações transviadas” na literatura e no espaço biográfico brasileiros não cessem de indicar práticas de violência e promoção da ininteligibilidade dos sujeitos LGBTQUIA. Dessa forma, tais configurações, que incidem em outros discursos, requerem trânsito crítico, dos olhares homoeróticos a reconfigurações transviadas, equivalente à virada cucaracha que, aproximada ao giro decolonial, opera tradução idiossincrática do “cuir” como “estudos/ativismos transviados”, conforme a apresenta Berenice Bento.
