Description

Abstract:
This essay analyzes O Continente, first part of the trilogy O Tempo e o Vento by the Brazilian writer Erico Verissimo, focusing on the elaboration of a literary genealogy inspired by family mythology, as double mirrors that reflect between reality and the imaginary, juxtaposing real history with imaginative memory in the construction of a historical and literary panel with influences from In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust among other books and authors.
