- This interview presents some of the literary and cultural universe that Edimilson de Almeida Pereira inhabits and his own analysis of his literature and, to a certain extent, his work as an anthropologist and researcher. The interview also records the general characteristics of Edimilson' artistic production and analyzes aspects of the African and African roots present in his work. At times, this "palavreamento" parallels with other authors, positioning their poetic production in the scope of Brazilian and international literature. Due to time lag (this interview was made during the last week of July 1996) and for further clarification, some information had to be added together with other pertinent and/or updated references. In this case, information that is not part of the original interview appears in the text within brackets. Some of these explanations were provided later by Edimilson himself, others were added to the text by the interviewer.
- Esta entrevista apresenta um pouco do universo literário e cultural por onde Edimilson de Almeida Pereira se embrenha e a própria análise que ele faz da sua literatura e, até certo ponto, do seu trabalho como antropólogo e pesquisador. Registra também as características gerais da sua produção artística e analisa facetas das raízes mineiras e africanas presen tes na sua literatura. Às vezes, este "palavreamento" estabelece paralelos com outros autores, posicionando a sua produção poética no âmbito da literatura brasileira e internacional. Pela defasagem do tempo (a entrevista com Edimilson foi feita durante a última semana de julho de 1996) e para maiores esclarecimentos, algumas das informações que ele me forneceu tiveram que ser acrescidas de outras referências pertinentes e/ou atualizadas. Nesse caso, as informações que não fazem parte da entrevista, na sua forma original, aparecem no texto entre colchetes. Algumas dessas explicações me foram fornecidas posteriormente pelo próprio Edimilson, outras foram acrescentadas ao texto pela entrevistadora.
