- In the year when the 50th anniversary of ‘Contos do Imigrante’'s publication is celebrated, this article discusses how the sophisticated writing of the Polish-born Samuel Rawet portrays the vicissitude of displaced characters scarred by silence and the incapacity to express themselves. Demonstrating that the preponderance of the listening in Rawet's literature is connected to an ethical positioning, this study analyses how his work creates an atmosphere where the sound evokes inadequacy and the lack of communication.
- No ano em que se celebra o 50º aniversário da publicação de “Contos do Imigrante”, este artigo discute como a escrita sofisticada do nascido polonês Samuel Rawet retrata a vicissitude de personagens deslocados, marcados pelo silêncio e pela incapacidade de se expressar. Demonstrando que a preponderância da escuta na literatura de Rawet está ligada a um posicionamento ético, este estudo analisa como o seu trabalho cria uma atmosfera em que o som evoca a inadequação e a falta de comunicação.
